Vivi Restaurant

I was invited through Love Popups London to try out the lovely new restaurant that has found its way to Centre Point, right next to Tottenham Court Road Station. Vivi is a brasserie and bar that serves classic British dishes. It’s a truly instagrammable place if ever there was one; from the moment you walk in, the the plush pink velvet chairs, right up to the toilets! This restaurant truly makes you feel special!

Let’s start with a few cocktails, shall we?! Vivi has a pretty extensive, and pretty pink, cocktail and mocktail menu! I had two mocktails. It this picture is the Cheeky Mocha: seedlip spice 94, espresso and grapefruit. To be honest, I wasn’t a fan. However, my second mocktail of the night completely won me over and then some! This mocktail winner was the Pomegranate & Cranberry Fizz: cranberry juice, pomegranate, lime, sugar, and soda water.

Back: Pink Floyd Rhubarb (£12)
Right: The Seifert (£11)
Left: Cheeky Mocha (£7)

For the starter, being the cheese addict that I am, I chose the Keen’s cheddar twice baked soufflé with peppers and mornay sauce (£13.50). It was light and fluffy, and I particularly enjoyed the sauce it was in. I also heard particularly good things from my table companions about the Jerusalem artichoke soup (£7.50) on the starter menu!

Next up: mains! The main menu at Vivi had one vegetarian option and one vegan option. However, they were very accommodating in meeting dietary needs. I had the vegetarian option of Ratatouille with feta and toasted pine nuts (£14.50). It was beautifully laid out and generously sprinkled with cheese. The thing I sometimes don’t like about ratatouille, is that it can easily be very soggy and mushy. However, the ratatouille at Vivi was very well cooked so that the vegetables all had a nice little crunch to them.

Finally, dessert! There were lots of really lovely sounding items on the menu, however, I had seen a really beautiful dessert walk past earlier in the evening and asked our lovely waitress what it was. She said that it was an Arctic roll from their set menu. She was lovely enough to let me check it out, despite it not being on the the al a carte dessert menu. I’m sure glad I asked, because it was truly delicious!

Vivi restaurant and bar is a located in a really central and vibrant part of London. Literally two minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road station, it’s a great place to meet up for gorgeous cocktails with friends. If you want to find out more, check our their website:
